Popular actor and model Ferdous starrer much-anticipated film ‘Shovoner Swadhinata’ will hit the silver screen across the country tomorrow (Dec 11).
It is the directorial debut film by Manik Manobik based on a novel by Rashid Haider. In an interview with Samakal, Ferdous talks about the movie and so on.
How ‘Shovoner Swadhinata’ is difference than other films based on Muktijoddha you have acted earlier?
Liberation War is the most important chapter in the history of Bangladesh. It cannot be denied, neither can be changed the history. So, the fact gets more priority in the war based stories, literatures, dramas, films etc. ‘Shovoner Swadhinata’ describes the fact through a story. My two films “Dhrubotara’ and ‘Guerrilla’ based on the Muktijoddha have a difference of the new one that Nipun and Rudra Raiyan are my co-artists here.
What is the reason to be interested in acting in the same role more than once?
I was never interested in acting in the same role again and again. But I did not show any unwillingness in acting in the same role again and again in the films based on Muktijoddha. The cause is that the country’s Liberation War in 1971 merged into our cognition. For this, I am acting in the same role of my next film ‘Postmaster 71’ produced by myself.
What about ‘Kaler Putul’?
Shooting of the film has nearly been completed. It is the directorial debut film by Aka Reza. I have acted the character of a travel thirsty photographer in the thriller movie.
Heard that you are acting in Delwar Jahan Jhantu’s film?
Yeah. I am acting Delwar Jahan Jhantu’s latest film ‘52 Theke 71’. It is a fortune for me that I am working with the acclaimed director. In this film, I will be seen in a character of a Muktijoddha too.
