Ebola crisis: Global response 'too slow'


An independent panel of the global health experts has opined that slow international response and a failure of leadership were to blame for the "needless suffering and death" caused by the recent Ebola epidemic.

According to BBC online, the independent panel of global health experts came up with the report recently in this regard.

The panel's report that was published in The Lancet, said major reforms were needed to prevent future disasters over the Ebola.

More than 11,000 people died in the outbreak, which began in 2013 some parts of the worl.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has set out plans for reform.
