The Only 5 Beauty Products You Need in Your Backpack

Beauty Smartie Lisette helps you make over your makeup bag for school.
We're diligent about toting our gadgets around, but what about our makeup? During high school, I never left the house without my beauty bag. There was a situation one time where I was caught in the rain between periods and my eye makeup smeared, but having mascara and liner in my backpack saved the day! It doesn't take much to stay looking awesome, all day long. These five products will keep you covered.

Colored Lip Gloss

One product that can easily make you look like you spent more time than you actually did on your makeup in the morning is lip gloss. A good gloss never fails! My pick is the CoverGirl Queen Collection Colorlicious Gloss in Iced Berry.

Mascara

Mascara is something I never leave the house without. It's a simple product with maximum impact and touching up is a cinch. One of my favorites is the Clump Crusher in Very Black by CoverGirl. It gives your lashes crazy volume minus those annoying clumps.

Translucent Powder

If you have oily skin or your makeup tends to melt away, dusting a light translucent powder over your foundation throughout the day could be your ultimate beauty savior! The Clean Pressed Powder from CoverGirl is great for sensitive skin. It's noncomedogenic (translation: won't clog your pores), plus it gives you a natural finish. And, trust: Your face won't look cakey after using it.

Black/Brown Pencil Eyeliner

Eyeliner tends to disappear throughout the day, especially if you suffer from watery eyes. Try using CoverGirl's Perfect Point Plus Eye Liner in Black Onyx and reapply, as needed, to intensity your line. If you're going for a more natural look, choose the brown pencil in Espresso; it's less dramatic.

Colored Lip Balm

Touch up your pout with CoverGirl's Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams to make sure your lips are super soft from first period 'til that basketball game after school. Apply the velvety formula onto your lips, then press them together to blend the color in. CG's balm creams are moisturizing without being too sticky and offer nice pigment payoff. They're sheer enough to add just a subtle tint to lips and perfect for everyday use. Remember, if you're looking for a little more glamour, pull for the gloss!
